Felted pouch

I took someone’s advice and decided to make one more thing for Simucon. Besides, I wanted a hat break.

A felted pouch, suitable for dice or whatever.

Here it is before felting when it is roughly the size of a tall hat. Here it is after felting. CD and homemade 8-sided die earring for scale (yes, I’m that geeky). Suitable for dice or cards or whatever your little heart desires.

Costwise, it should really go for $20, but I can probably drop to $18. We’ll see if it sells. If not, I like it, so maybe I’ll use it myself. 🙂

    Oh, irony

Haha! I JUST got back from the yarn store, where I bought 3 pretty colored feltable yarns and a pattern for a little bag. I’ve never tried felting anything before, but if it goes well I might make a bunch. Would you be interested in having a partner at your Simucon table?

My concern is this: Does your pattern say “for non-commercial use only?” If so, you really can’t re-sell what you make using that pattern.

That didn’t entirely answer the question, did it? If you’re just making up stuff on the fly and not using a copyrighted pattern, then have at it. My table will have the hours “whenever I feel like it” until “whenever I don’t feel like it” so I wouldn’t expect too much in the way of profit, but if you want to put a few items out, I’m cool with that.

You know, I hadn’t even thought of that. Not only is this my first time felting, it’s my first time knitting anything from a pattern. Although, I’m not really even following the pattern, except for the bit about eyelets because I don’t know how to do them . But no, the pattern does not say anything about it being not for commercial use.
