I fell offa my yarn diet…
…and man, did it feel good.
I got a couple of skeins of worsted-weight yarn from South America via Handpaintedyarn.com’sebay store, some Lamb’s Pride worsted in color Clematis to make a Coronet hat with, two skeins of Lorna’s Laces in a blue/green/purple variegated colorway called “Lakeview” to make socks with (I’ve never done that before!), and two little balls of white angora (Grignasco Princesse from Spain) to make teeny fuzzy baby booties with. I might try to dye the angora, but I’m kind of afraid to. My last dyeing experiment didn’t go so hot. Maybe if I used something besides Kool-Aid…
Okay, that’s the splurge. Back on the wagon!

I have had great success with using Cushing dyes. They have the convience of Kool-Aid in that they are individual packets that you mix with vinegar & are in expensive. Plus they have a good selection of colors! I’d try it on something less yummy than the angora to start with & see how you like em! 🙂
