Fighting evil, but not bad grammar.
I was out doing a little last-minute Christmas shopping and found this shirt at GapKids on sale. It was the only Wonder Woman shirt on the rack, marked down to $5.98, then marked down an additional 20 percent. Score! I brought it home and showed it to Em, who liked it.
It was only at this point that I noticed the punctuation, or lack thereof. “Girls World” has no apostrophe. Who’s doing the quality checking at Junk Food Clothing?
Because it was on clearance, there are no returns. I guess now I know why it was so cheap. Sigh.
Maybe add in an apostrophe and an exclamation point with a sharpie?
I was kinda thinking fabric paint rather than sharpie, but yeah, that was my thought too.
(just make sure to put cardboard or something inside the shirt, to keep whatever you use from bleeding through to the back).
Actually, if you use something like a gold glitter fabric paint, you can outline the letters with it, fill the other apostrophe, and add the exclamation point (and fill the white stars), and make it look more like part of the overall design and less like an added correction.
Why not use a fabric marker to make your own punctuation? It’s such a cool WW shirt to worry over something so fixable! I love Wonder Woman! She rocks!
