moisturizer?

I have this really nice long post I want to make, but I have no time for the next few days.

So, for now, I have a question! My hands are super-dry. Do you have a favorite moisturizer? Lavender makes my head hurt, but aside from that, I’m open to any suggestion!

There’s Corn Husker’s Lotion, which I found at WalMart at one point. I don’t know if they still have it or not. Or there’s always Bag Balm, if you have the time to rub it in thoroughly.

It’s a wee bit on the pricey side for lotion, but Clinique makes a great hand/body lotion that I just love. The scent is really light, not perfumey, and it’s got a good non-greasy feel. Just a thought.

C.O. Bigelow Chapped Hands Remedy No.1012

My husband uses this because he has extra dry skin, and scented lotions just make it worse. It’s not greasy, and has glycerin in it. We got it at Bath and Body.

We use Vanicream for our little guys extra dry skin, I bet it would do the trick for you. It should be available at any drug store.

This can be found at fabric stores, and probably just about everywhere else too. If memory serves it goes on a little greasy, but from what I can remember it’s not too expensive and works good.

I’ve always had problems with dry skin, even when I lived in Washington State.

When I moved to Colorado I thought my hands were going to FALL OFF. It was terrible. Cracked, bleeding, the whole nine yards. I always hated lotions because they were greasy or smelled.

Then hubby brought home some “Cetaphil moisturizing lotion.”

I now have bottles of this stuff stashed all over the house. I looove it and you can get multi packs at Costco. 😀 Not too greasy and completely scent-free.

Coconut oil. You can get big jars of it at grocery stores, and although it goes on greasy, it absorbs quickly. It even works after I shave my super-dry legs.

don’t let me forget and I will bring you some sample size stuff on Wed that I have upstairs. Its Mary Kay stuff that I have on hand and you are welcome to. :)I have tons of it. The extra emollient night cream is great for very dry skin.

Usually this time of year my hands get so dry they crack and bleed. I have some expensive l’Occitaine hand cream that is great. But… at Walmart I found this lotion by Suave (yes Suave) and it is great plus it only costs $1.97! a variety of ‘flavors.’ I even took one to school and the picky high school gals love it.

I was able to try a sample of this at my local “green” foods market, and I really did like it. Thanks for the recommendation. Budget permitting, I may snag some.

I tried some of this at my in-laws this weekend. They had a tube out, and I couldn’t resist. It’s not bad!

Ooh, I have seen that at my local Hancock fabric. I’ll look closer next time I’m there.

I do think something with glycerin would be good.
