We have gotten one RSVP for Em’s birthday party. One of her friends called tonight to speak with her (which lasted approximately two seconds – we have to work on phone skills) and said that she’s coming. Em is skipping around the house, very excited, and is also thinking about what she would say in a phone conversation next time.
That’s at least one friend at the party! YAY!!!!!!
…or when it snows, in this case. Opportunities to work on the “Frosty Fun” Girl Scout badge are few down here in the South, so this week, we seized the moment. Here’s Em posing in her winter gear to show off what you should wear when it’s cold outside. Wendy from Alaska is no doubt laughing at our definition of “cold weather gear” but we’ll see who’s laughing when we’re out tailgating in cutoffs and t-shirts at Christmas. (I kid, Wendy!)
Here’s a closeup, just to prove that there is a child under all those layers. And yes, I did knit that scarf. It’s super easy and you can do it too.
The head honchos for this year’s Can’t Stop the Serenity are opening up the art contest voting to everyone, not just registered organizers. The submission were just too gorgeous to keep themselves.
If you’d like to vote for your favorite logo/t-shirt design, you can do so here. Only one vote per person should be possible, and the results are hidden until voting is over on March 12th, so as not to sway the results toward the most popular.
If you’re a Browncoat, go look – you’re going to be wearing one of these on a shirt soon, because I KNOW you’ll all be going to Can’t Stop The Serenity this year!
ETA: Like 90% of the people I’ve talked to, I voted for #3. Don’t let me sway you, though!
Innocent doorway.
Couldn’t possibly be trapped.
Foom! Guess I was wrong.
Quiet, still cavern.
Flaming screaming Dwarf runs past.
Must be Tuesday night.
I’m a week behind on D&D updates, but I haven’t forgotten. Thanks for your patience!
