Back to the hats.
I re-did that slipper and made the mate for it. It took one skein of Brown Sheep worsted plus about two yards, but I made then on the assumption that my daughter’s teacher had big feet. She’s pregnant, and I know my feet swelled when I was great with child. I could still have knitted a full ten inches before the toe decreases with one skein if I’d just omitted one round on the cuffs. Good to remember for next time.
All in all, I think the size is about right. Thank goodness they’re going to be felted, so it won’t matter if they’re stretched out just a bit.
Back to knitting the hats!
