“I can’t see. Are we boned?”
Long-time readers know that I have a habit of destroying my Mac keyboards by spilling liquid into them. Well, I’ve gone multi-platform! While my husband was mowing the lawn, I managed to get about a teaspoon of coffee into his laptop, ruining it. Go me!
This is a Bad Thing, since the laptop is what he uses to dial in to work in the event they have a problem, preventing him from having to drive all the way uptown and fix it on site. So basically, he’s boned. Sorry, honey. If his workplace won’t spring for one, well, there’s always our tax refund.
In other news, I decided to try my hand at crochet. Behold the tiny, fuzzy, badly photographed flower I made. I’d snag a book from the library, but our local library is closed to have its roof repaired so it’ll be a pain in the keister to get one. Next time I’ll use a smoother yarn than mohair so I can see what I’m doing. Of course, I can already knit flowers all right, so maybe I’ll do that for the project I need. I just thought it might be fun to learn a new skill. I wonder what size needles one would use to knit sewing thread with. Hmm…
You should be able to pull the keyboard out & let the whole thing dry. Was there sugar or cream in the coffee? If there wasnt then there wont be a stickiness issue.

There should be a crochet site like knittinghelp. Maybe there is one, but there should be, if there isn’t.

I like to crochet with the Sugar and Cream, personally. 😉
Then again, I think you’re the one that suggested that to me. 😮 It works well for practice, and for dog clothes. 😀

This place has a few videos that show different stitches.

And a crochet forum, because it’s always good to have a place to ask questions when you get stuck lol. I haven’t dug around on there for a while, but there has to be website links posted somewhere.

Thanks, I appreciate that. I did visit a branch library yesterday. Miracle of miracles, they had Hip to Crochet and Better Homes and Gardens Knitting and Crocheting. Yay!

Thanks! There was no sugar and cream – I like my coffee strong and black! It looks like after drying, the only casualty was the left shift key. Could be worse!

I agree. I send new knitters to knittinghelp.com all the time.

Give it some more time to dry. You may get that key back when you least expect it.

T have you tried Annie’s Attic? Last I checked they were like knitting help. I haven’t checked out their crochet help section because I did the reverse of you.. been crocheting and took up knitting… but it’s a great crochet site.
